So, I've been waiting for this day for what feels like about ten years now. Ever since MK 9 came out back in 2011 (nine years I guess not ten), Ed Boon has been teasing the possibility of Spawn being added to the roster. It has been god damn heart tugging on die hard Spawn fans like myself, being let down tease after tease over the years. That is why during the final hours of Final Kombat last Sunday, I had to pinch myself several times when Keith David walked on stage to introduce the Spawn gameplay reveal trailer. Check it out below.

As you can see, it seems they really went all out for us Spawn fans on delivering a character experience that is true to Spawns representation in the comics. He's got his chains, he's got his guns, and god damn, those cape animations look pretty flawless. From the sounds of his interaction with Joker, it sounds like they kept his strong distaste for clowns as well. Check out this short interaction between the two below.

I really can't wait to step into the ring with Spawn next week when he drops for Kombat pass players like myself. If you don't own the Kombat pass, you'll have to wait until the 24th to give ol' Al Simmons a whirl. How are you feeling about the King of Hell's entrance to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster? Let me know in the comments below.
